This song I made with my good friend and neighbor. It started out just as a simple idea which I then gave to him to expand on. He is an extraordinary guitar and keyboard player.
Working with others in music is a process of compromise. I had two parts which were relatively simple, and yet, went nowhere. My friend’s input allowed me to work with different structures that I would not have thought about. We also worked extensively on the mixing of this song. While I did the post-mix, he worked on the tone prior to the track recordings.
This song is part of a compilation of mine, Summer 09. It is called Imbue, which means to saturate with inspiration. Summer is one of my favorite months to create music because I feel so free. Other than the weekly labor at work, the atmosphere to create is flourishing.
